We stayed at this lovely hotel as part of our 24 hour honeymoon, and really enjoyed the stay. Our experience was great from the second we walked in. I loved that it was in a heritage building and maintained that history and charm, but it is very tech savvy too. Just the heating/cooling alone in the room was the fanciest at any hotel I have stayed in, and clearly time and attention was given to all the smallest of details like how soundproof the large windows were or the very good Stumptown coffee in the room, complete with a proper french press which was worth it to me! Great stay all around, and nearly impossible not to leave a little hipper than when you started.“Wonderful Hotel for our Honeymoon” – TripAdvisor July2017
Highlights include the contrast between softly white-washed wood and concrete walls, the elegant tin roof panels, the boldly tiled floor, and the industrial chandelier. These features are all individually unique but together compliment each other in an exquisitely modern way, while still paying tribute to the buildings rich history. The Explorers Society Hotel brings boutique trend to Revelstoke – Eliisa Tennant, Revelstoke Mountaineer, April 2017
Beautifully restored space in a great old building, right downtown. A work of love. Every detail is custom built and reflects taste and respect for the building and the town’s history, outdoor activities, and welcoming atmosphere.“Great New Hotel and Restaurant in Historic Revelstoke Building” – TripAdvisor, March 2017
They (the owners) lovingly restored a historic brick building in the heart of downtown, creating 9 cozy and modern rooms that capture the character of the original building (exposed brick and exposed wood trusses and beams), some great common areas, and a restaurant (Quartermaster) so fabulous that we ate there two nights in row!An Inaugural Hotel/Quartermaster Guest on TripAdvisor, Feb 2017
